Our School Day


            08:50 - Classroom doors open - gradual entry for all children

            09:00 - Classroom doors close* and registration begins

            09:15 - Morning lesson begins (curriculum timetable vary according to the day and the class)

            10:25 - Assembly 

            10:45 - Morning break

            11:00 - Mid morning lessons begin

            12:15 - Lunch and playtime begins

            13:25 - Afternoon lessons begin

            14:30 - 15 minute afternoon break for Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2)

            15:30 - School ends

 Total hours each week equals 32.50

*children who arrive after 9am will have to enter school through the main office and be marked in the register by the office staff

Uncollected children


Any children who have not been collected by 3:40 pm will be brought to the main office and a member of the office will attempt to contact home from 3:45 pm until 4 pm. At 4 pm, the child will be sent down to Shine Club if no contact or prior arrangements have been made.

General Rules for Play/Lunchtimes


  • Tuck Shop is available for healthy snacks (no sweets, chocolate or crisps allowed) during morning play
  • No children are allowed indoors during breaktimes unless for emergency reasons or with prior permission from a school adult
  • Pupils to only use the infant toilets which are accessible from the playground
  • Only soft balls may be used for football, hand cricket and throwing
  • For Wet Play, adults on duty along with midday assistants will patrol the building, at least one covering the infants and one covering the juniors and the Year 6 monitors will cover all infant and junior classes. All classroom doors should be left open and the monitors will take out the wet playtime games, kept in all classes, and report to the duty teachers with issues. No balls or play equipment may be used when the playground is wet.
