Thank you to our PA who helped arrange our Father’s Day gift shop as well as a Father’s Day High Tea this month to celebrate and say thank you to all our fabulous fathers, uncles, grandfathers and other relatives out there!  We had a great turn out for the tea with cakes and drinks available while we all mixed and mingled. Thank you for continued support here - it was lovely to see so many of you!

Monday 15th May 2023 - odd sock day for National Mental Health week

Focusing on anxiety for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week will increase people's awareness and understanding by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem.

During the week, we will take part in different activities and there will be a whole school assembly focusing on making sure that improving mental health is a key priority for the government and society as a whole.

St George’s Day was celebrated in style at Fullwood today. Children were dressed in the colours of the English flag; red and white as well as sporting their England team sports tops. Lessons on the day were focused around reminding children of our British values and we then thought about how we use these inside and outside of school.

Wednesday 8th March - International Women's Day

It is a day where people worldwide take time to celebrate women's achievement, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. The children had a special assembly and completed activities looking at the achievements of remarkable women currently and throughout history. Children and staff were invited to either dress up as a woman who they feel inspires them (mums, aunts, teachers, famous people from history such as Emmeline Pankhurst, Mary Seacole) or wear the colours of the day, which are purple and green.

Friday 3rd March - World Book Day and Movie Night

To celebrate World Book Day, children and staff came into school dressed up as a book character and we also ended our book week celebrations by hosting a book themed movie night. Friday 10th February - Dress to Express day

To celebrate the end of Children's Mental Health week, the children and staff dressed up in an outfit of their choice - it could have been a particular colour, a variety of colours, costume or even a funky hairstyle! We asked for a contribution of 50p - £1, all money raised will be donated to the British Red Cross’ efforts in focusing support to those families in Turkey who are in desperate need of aid.

We raised £958.07 which will all go toward the support efforts and aid to help the communities that need it in Turkey.

Everybody looked fantastic and had lots of fun!

Wednesday 19th October

Wider Opportunities returned this half term with lots of excitement from the children (and the adults too!). It has been great and it reminded us just how much we’ve missed the chance to take part in
activities outside of our usual curriculum. This gives the children time to learn and enjoy a new skill/concept/life lesson of their choosing. The workshops change every half term and the children make their new choices for the next cycle of workshops.
